What is faxpunk?
This is simply my original fiction alternative history universe, my sandbox to play in. The information technologies stopped at the fax machine and a lot of countries look very different in faxpunk. Most of the stories take place in alternative!UK or Finnic countries (alt!Finland or alt!Estonia). There is no one point in time where history diverged from ours and there are no supernatural or magical elements to the worldbuilding. It's just our world, slightly altered.
Most stories take place during modern times (1950s onward) and can be read as standalone, although it may help to understand certain historical events or concepts from one story in order to fully appreciate another. I try to write each story so that a reader doesn't have to read everything to enjoy an individual story.
Since the aim of the first story was to get me to write more smut, a lot of the stories will be Explicit in rating. For the most part there aren't a lot of heavy subjects explored beyond character backstories but I also wouldn't call the universe fluffy.
